All of our guests must have proof of being immunised against Feline Infectious Enteritis and cat flu, with up to date certificates being provided on arrival. Please also follow a flea and worm programme.
We respect and appreciate all our feline guests have their own personality and requirements and at Calcutt we ensure that they are all individually given time, love, care and as our statement say “Cuddles and Fuss as standard”.
On a daily basis the litter trays are cleaned and replenished regularly and the chalets are individually cleaned. Between guests the chalets and all furnishings are disinfected and cleaned to a guaranteed high standard.
Our cattery kitchen is modern and functional and boasts a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher again to ensure that home from home feel.
The cattery is quiet, peaceful and relaxing and all the chalets are furnished for the cats comfort and individual needs.
We provide igloo beds and blankets, soft toys to cuddle and to play with as well as carpet mats and scratching pads.
The standard bedrooms are 4′ square with sleeping shelves and thermostatically heated to 20 – 25 degrees. Each chalet has an additional outdoor space, which is undercover from the weather and is another 4′ wide and 6′ long. The family units are even bigger.
We are well stocked with branded food, and wherever possible we offer a diet similar to the one that your cats are accustomed to. Should you wish you can provide your own preferred food for the duration of your cats’ stay. Normal day rates are still applicable.
In the unlikely event that a vet’s attendance is required, we offer this service in conjunction with our local veterinary practice. Normal terms and conditions would apply under the terms of our insurance policy.
Before the end of the day, we inspect every guest before ‘lights out’ to ensure that they are safe, secure and comfortable. (Night lights can be provided on request).
To limit any stress and to ensure a safe journey and transfer, all cats should be transported in a suitably sized pet travel carrier. Carriers will be cleaned and stored at Calcutt Cattery for the duration of your pets’ stay with us.

During our low season opening times may vary and pick up/drop off may be at an agreed appointment time.
